KYBE Loves Beer - A Timeline

We’re full steam ahead for 2023 with new and exciting projects slated for the year. We can’t help but reflect on the people who put their trust in us to achieve their vision over the past years. Today, we’re highlighting our favourite beverage industry—local craft beer.

We were doing so many breweries at one point we even had a sign made saying “YOUR LOCAL CRAFT BREWERY ELECTRICAL EXPERTS”. Now that’s commitment.

But we’re not just in it for the beer. We love working hand in hand with local businesses, whether they’re just starting, or opening multiple locations. There’s something about the culture that makes us feel happy to be a part of. Read below to hear our beer journey.

Our first Brewery was none other than North Van’s own BEERE BREWING. Taking over the existing Beere Timber on Esplanade, these guys pioneered the now booming Lower Lonsdale local beer scape. Here, we learned the ins and outs of brewing and what’s needed on our end.

Next, we were off to Main Street to get a little wild at Electric Bicycle Brewing. We had a blast helping this colourful project come together.

Back to North Van we went to get House of Funk up and running. The trippy lighting effects were some of our favourites to wire and install.

Shortly after, we had the best news we could ask for; a brewery was moving in next door to the KYBE HQ. We could barely contain our excitement and got straight to work with the crew at North Point Brewing. Each year, we get a small batch of private label brews made by our favourite neighbours, we can’t get enough!

Since then, we’ve completed the latest Esplanade brewery — Shaketown Brewing. And even moved down the road to Copperpenny Distillery and Windfall Cider & Co. — we don’t discriminate against potent potables.

Our story doesn’t end here, but we sure love taking a trip down memory lane from time to time. Next, global brewery electrical domination. Stay tuned.
